Happy 2025! A wonderful weekend taking in the spectacular frozen waterfalls near the cabin. The sound of ice melting and huge pieces falling off into the ice hole that formed between the upper and lower tiers at Kaaterskill was something to behold. Awe inspiring for sure! Afterwards, we settled back at home base with some hot cocoa in front of a crackling fire 🙌🏼

Love driving past these waterfalls on the way to the cabin! We drove up this weekend for both work and play 🙃 added new deck lights, hammock seats, net up for some badminton, an upgrade to the fire pit and more. The hammocks were so much fun and so was our regular creek adventure! And everyone had fun ending the night with some games. Spring time is here 🙌🏼❤️

The mountains are calling…While we get the cab

The mountains are calling…While we get the cabin ready for renting, our family is making wonderful memories! The kids woke up to birdwatching and anticipating the day of adventures ahead. They loved seeing the cows @storyfarmscatskills while we bought some delicious homegrown produce. After lunch, we set out on a hike from the backyard, enjoying the creek and taking in some beautiful views before partaking in some natural fingerprinting haha. We wound down the evening by taking in the stars and making s’mores over the campfire. Bonus snuggles were enjoyed by the warm fire after the kids went to sleep 🥰 unplugging from technology and our hectic schedules to explore the outdoors was a treat for all! The kids keep asking when we can go back ❤️ #getoutside #explore

Happy #waterfallwednesday ! The Kaaterskill Falls Trail is less than 15 minutes from the Pine Creek Cabin. It is a beautiful two-tiered waterfall that cascades a total of 260 feet, making it one of the highest waterfalls in NY. Some venture into the natural amphitheater behind the falls and others wade in the nature pool at the base. Regardless of how adventurous you decide to be, it’s an absolutely breathtaking, picturesque site worth the hike! 🥾
